UPDATED: SKEA Reaches Tentative Agreement for 2010-2013 Contract, Membership votes to accept
Submitted by Webmaster on Thu, 06/24/2010 - 00:00.The Salem Keizer Education Association is pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached in the negotiation of a new 2010-2013 contract. The SKEA Board of Directors on Tuesday, June 22, unanimously endorsed bringing this tentative agreement to membership for ratification.
Due to the summer recess, the SKEA ratification vote will be undertaken via US Mail. Members will be receiving a mailing to their address of record according to OEA that will contain an informational sheet, ballot and return envelope. The ballots are due 5:00 Monday, July 19th to the SKEA office.

SKEA Spring Election Results 2010
Submitted by Webmaster on Wed, 06/02/2010 - 05:05.Recently, SKEA held it’s elections for several open Board of Director Seats. For the first time in many years, the ballot was full, including the Secondary Education Director positions in a contested race. This is one sign of a healthy organization when people step forward with a desire to serve and represent their fellow members. Congratulations to the following members who were elected to represent you. Their term begins July 15, 2010 according to our bylaws. All directors will attend the annual SKEA Board Retreat, August 5,6, and 7th at the OEA Headquarters in Tigard Oregon.
